Equipment

I will be using a Nikon D300 with a 300mm f4 lens to photograph the majority of bird species this year. This will serve as my camera to catch the quick, flighty species and those that allow close enough approach.

While I do not have a dedicated digiscoping camera, I've been able to get respectable shots through my scope with my iPhone. This will help photograph distant, difficult species. I may try to purchase a digiscoping camera eventually.

With these two photographic weapons at my disposal, I should be able to photograph the majority of bird species I see.
